VisionPlus Developer with CICS

Software Requirements:

• Proficiency in VisionPlus application development using COBOL and CICS
• Experience with system integration and ensuring seamless data flow between VisionPlus and other enterprise applications
• Strong understanding of CICS environments and transaction processing
• Knowledge of testing and quality assurance practices
• Familiarity with technical documentation and coding standards

Overall Responsibilities:

• Application Development:

  • Design code test and debug VisionPlus applications using COBOL and CICS
  • Develop and enhance existing applications to meet changing business requirements

• System Integration:

  • Collaborate with other development teams to integrate VisionPlus applications with other systems
  • Ensure seamless data flow between VisionPlus and other enterprise applications

• CICS Management:

  • Maintain and manage CICS environments ensuring optimal performance and availability of applications
  • Implement and monitor CICS transaction processing to ensure reliability and efficiency

• Requirement Analysis:

  • Work with business analysts to gather and analyze functional requirements
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications for application development

• Testing and Quality Assurance:

  • Develop and execute test plans to validate application functionality and performance
  • Conduct unit testing and assist in system and user acceptance testing (UAT)

• Documentation:

  • Create and maintain technical documentation including design specifications system configurations and user manuals
  • Document coding standards and best practices for future reference

• Support and Maintenance:

  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for VisionPlus applications troubleshooting issues as they arise
  • Participate in regular system updates and enhancements to improve functionality and performance

• Collaboration:

  • Work closely with crossfunctional teams including QA operations and project management to ensure successful project delivery
  • Participate in code reviews and knowledgesharing sessions to foster team collaboration

Technical Skills:

Application Development:

• Proficiency in VisionPlus application development using COBOL and CICS

• Knowledge of integrating VisionPlus applications with other systems

Experience:

• 12 experience in VisionPlus application development using COBOL and CICS
• Experience in system integration CICS management requirement analysis testing and quality assurance documentation and support and maintenance

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field
