Customer Service
- Greet and interact with residents in a friendly and professional manner
- Promote a welcoming atmosphere
- Demonstrate excellent customer service and a cando attitude
- Attend to resident concerns and service requests within 24 hours
- Follow up with residents to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
- Handle office administrative tasks such as processing online applications creating notices managing lease renewals and other duties related to support daily operations
- Organize promote and execute resident events (i.e. holiday parties & summer barbeques)
General Cleaning
- Maintain cleanliness of all common areas including foyers amenity rooms underground parking garage locker rooms patios and rooftops
- Knowledge and safe handling of cleaning chemicals
- Perform thorough cleaning of vacant units including appliances floors walls windows kitchens washrooms and balconies ensuring they are movein ready
- Dust fire hose cabinets bells and elevator tracks to minimize excess debris
- Monitor and clean of garbage chutes garbage and recycling rooms
- Collection of garbage and recycling bins in coordination with the city waste schedule
- Knowledge and understanding of the safe handling of cleaning materials (WHMIS)
- Conduct yard maintenance including picking up loose garbage around the exterior of the property removing snow and ice salting entrances walkways and rooftop access
Property Maintenance
- Assist residents how to complete maintenance requests through the proper channels
- Daily walkthroughs of each floor stairwell and common areas fixing minor deficiencies
- Report serious deficiencies related to curb appeal or safety hazards to the direct supervisor for further action
- Assist the supervisor in HVAC monitoring troubleshooting minor electrical plumbing boiler & chiller maintenance
- Assist the supervisor with scheduling and overseeing repair activities of tradesmen and contractors as required
Fire Safety
- Knowledge of fire and life safety response systems (fire alarms and detection systems)
- Assist in emergency procedures
Qualifications
- Strong customer service skills
- Previous or similar property management experience (an asset)
- Display a professional/presentable appearance
- Basic computer and keyboarding skills
- Ability to perform general cleaning duties and minor maintenance repairs
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs items could include garbage bins furniture appliances or while performing snow removal duties sometimes for extended periods of time
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Fluent in English and French
