Job Description

Vanguards UK PI business is enabled by the FNZ One platform which provides a significant amount of functionality for Vanguard and its clients. From recordkeeping calculating fees executing trades managing client accounts and much more a significant amount of Vanguards critical capability is reliant on FNZ.

Our FNZ Platform Delivery team is responsible for owning the engineering delivery elements of the FNZowned capabilities of the platform through close collaboration with internal stakeholders deep understanding of the UK PI business strategy and a strong processdriven approach to working with our partners at FNZ.

Core Responsibilities

1. Oversees the endtoend delivery of software projects on the FNZ platform ensuring they are completed on time within scope and within budget.

2. Hires evaluates and supervises crew. Provides guidance and training as necessary to develop crew. Sets performance standards reviews performance and makes informed compensation decisions in accordance with all applicable Human Resources policies and procedures.

3. Responsible for overseeing FNZs engineering team as the primary development resource helping coordinate the vendors team with any Vanguard resources required.

4. Continuously improves the delivery processes and practices to enhance efficiency quality and value generated from the FNZ partnership.

5. Works closely with broader management team to develop and implement staffing and operational plans. Participates in the development of short and long term department goals. Monitors and reports on service delivery metrics and overall performance.

6. Develops and implements changes to department policies and procedures to meet changing business needs and to achieve department objectives. Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement.

7. Leads quality initiatives to improve the delivery of service levels. Works with senior management in the planning development and of short and long range goals.

8. Presents status metrics and department initiatives at meetings with management and project peers. Maintains relationships with technical teams IT and business partners.

9. Participates in the development of the department budget. Reviews expenses and ensures department operates within budgetary guidelines.

10. Ensures staff complies with information technology and information security policies and procedures and verifies that deliverables meet requirements.

11. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills communication skills and excellent stakeholder management required
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and utilizing external development resources
  • Proactive and approachable leadership style with the ability to foster a positive work environment
  • Strong problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities
  • Financial services background preferred but not strictly required
