Middle School Principal ResponsibilitiesInstructional Leader of the buildingLay the framework for PLC ProcessesEnsure PLC Process is happening with fidelity within the Collaborative GroupsAccountability for Lesson PlansMonitor Student DataDevelop/revise a yearly School Improvement PlanEffectively Communicate with Parents Community Members Teachers StudentsBe the face of Highland Middle School in the publicPublish a Weekly Newsletter to keep faculty/staff informedKeep up with office calendar of all campus eventsEnsure Safety of students and staffWork collaboratively with the middle school counselors to create the Master ScheduleMaintain the Budget for the middle schoolKeep a spreadsheet of all expendituresCreate POs and submit reimbursement requestsEnsure the requirements of the Student Success Plan are being met (Act 930 of 2017)Documentation of student four year plansInterventions/EnrichmentsStay informed of CTE Guidelines and requirementsObserve and Evaluate Teachers (Educator Effectiveness System)PGP plans/GoalsStudent DisciplineSupervision at Extracurricular Events/ActivitiesCoordinate Plan and Facilitate Events/ActivitiesQuarterly Awards AssembliesYear End Honors/Awards Ceremonies
