Job Description
Hiring for One of Our Client
- Total Experience: 10 15 years
- Relevant GSE Experience: Minimum 7 9 years
- Ideal breakdown: 70% hands-on GSE tooling 30% conceptual design
Key Responsibilities:
GSE Tooling Design
- Focus only on Ground Support Equipment not vehicles (e.g. no cranes).
- Tools designed for aircraft maintenance or manufacturing.
- Create designs from concepts provided by aerospace clients.
- Handle end-to-end design lifecycle:
- Conceptualize tools based on vague inputs
- Translate requirements into CAD models
- Supervise team execution of designs

Team Leadership
- Lead a team of Design Engineers
- Delegate and review their design work
Standards & Regulations
- Ensure all work follows:
- EASA (European Union Aviation Safety Agency) guidelines
- CE norms (European Conformity)
- AS9100 / EN9100 (Aerospace Quality Management Standards)
- ISO Tolerance Systems

Project Management
- Own complete tooling projects
- Responsible for new product development
- Should have led teams previously
- Capable of change management
Tool Maintenance
- Oversee MRO (Maintenance Repair & Overhaul) tooling
- Responsible for post-design maintenance and documentation
Required Software Skills:
- CATIA V5
- AutoCAD 3D
(Both are mandatory no exceptions)
Additional Skills:
- Documentation: Should be able to document tooling processes
- Communication: Must have strong English communication skills
- Many mechanical/aerospace professionals lack this its a key screening criterion

Strict Must-Haves:
- Must have worked in aerospace domain
- Must have GSE tooling experience (NOT electrical NOT ship design)
- Profiles without GSE exposure or from other industries will be rejected outright
