We have a fantastic opportunity for a Bid Manager to join our Optronics and Missile Electronics (OME) UK team in Glasgow.

Key responsibilities:
The purpose of this role is to be the person in charge of specific bidmanagement activities to ensure the successful delivery of a bid or several bids.
It requires professional bid management capabilities to be applied giving rigour to change control commercial awareness and stakeholder management.
This individual will be required to bring structure clarity and governance to the process and discipline relating to bid management activities. It will require the successful management of the relationship with internal and external key UK and international customers and the effective management of multidisciplinary bid teams to deliver high quality business winning proposal.
About you:
We are seeking a proactive and adaptable professional with a background in project/bid management ideally within complex multidisciplinary organisations.
The ideal candidate will have strong client and stakeholder management skills and preferably an understanding of the full bid lifecycle.
The ideal candidate must possess strong interpersonal communication and negotiation skills.
Due to the nature of the work that we do at Thales many of our roles are subject to security restrictions. This role requires you to be a UK National and achieve Security Clearance (SC) without any caveats. It would be advantageous if currently held however if not currently held it is a requirement that the successful applicant undergo achieve and maintain SC Clearance prior to commencing employment. To be eligible for full SC you generally need to have resided in the UK for the last 5 years. In some circumstances a minimum of 3 years residence in the UK over the last 5 years may be accepted with additional overseas checks.
