Within this role you will be responsible for the overall success of project construction development and oversight. As a Development Coordinator you will be managing and organizing programs and projects to assure compliance. Contract administration duties involve preparing and reviewing bid documents; retrieving wage rates; advertising projects for bid; conducting prebid site visits; preparing and distributing addenda; as well as conducting bid openings and related meetings up until the start of construction. You will be responsible for conducting inspections of construction and renovation projects to ensure methods workmanship and materials are in compliance with contract provisions plans specifications and applicable building/construction codes and ordinances. You will be responsible for monitoring construction activities and reviewing plans drawings and specifications to provide interpretations. Work involves reviewing and making recommendations regarding contractor requests for change orders and modifying appropriate documents to reflect approved changes and obtain approvals of all parties. You will have the opportunity to provide information and interact with architects and engineers during the project design phase as well as interact with various city agencies to resolve code related issues. Work also includes generating annual and 5year capital plans and submitting the Capital Fund application to secure annual grants. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:
