As part of the ONxpress consortium Alstom is proudly working to transform the collective mobility of the Greater Toronto and Hamilton areas (GTHA) through the OnCorridor Works project. The GO Expansion scope: new electric locomotives fleet upgrades train control systems network electrification signalling telecommunications and digital systems maintenance and much more.

For this project we are looking for a Integrated Control Center (ICC) / System of Control & Automatic Data Acquisition (SCADA) Project Manager with knowledge in Control Center Canadian Rail Operating Rules Automatic Train Supervision (ATS) in order to lead the deployment of the Integrated Control Center and SCADA subsystem in close collaboration with our partners.

The Project Manager is responsible for management and successful completion of crossfunctional activities leading to the delivery of a complex project subsystem in a high criticality or medium criticality project fulfilling both customer needs and committed Quality Cost Delivery Performance (QCDP) objectives.

In this role you will:

• Manage crossfunctionally subsystem level stakeholders activities and deliverables and make needed arbitration (engineering product x process Make or Buy Costs Milestones Interfaces etc. to reach QCDP commitment
• Coordinate subsystem activities with other project stakeholders including integration teams other subsystems and project level functions.

Key accountabilities

1/ Contribute to successful Project on allocated subsystem scope of work:

• Apply Project Strategy according to defined contractual and Project commitments and targets as allocated on subsystem.
• Actively contribute to Project performance
• Alert in case of deviations impacting project objectives; actively contribute to risks and opportunity management
• Ensure compliance with applicable rules instructions and standards process & tools: Code of Ethics & Compliance EHS Railway Safety Quality Sourcing Project MaterialManagement.

2/ Lead and coordinate subsystem activities and stakeholders from requirement capture/analysis to the end of project contractual obligations limited to the subsystem scope of work:

• Achieve QCDP objectives of its subsystem
• Cascade and allocate subsystem requirements and QCDP objectives to subsystem team members
• Implement subsystemWork Breakdown Structure
• Plan monitor control and manage subsystem endtoend activities (scope schedule resources cost risks saving opportunities)
• Coordinate and support consistent crossfunctional of subsystem objectives activities and deliverables (Engineering R&D programmes Sourcing Supply Chain Indus when applicable RAMS etc.
• Lead teams in successful achievement of project objectives synchronize stakeholders at subsystem level and ensure stakeholder alignments
• Perform subsystem level decisions and tradeoffs
• Rebase lining and change management at subsystem level
• Manage subsystem situation and KPI and report with transparency
• Upon request from Project Director is delegated to represent Alstom towards Customer and external stakeholders

3/ Coordinate and synchronize subsystem activities with other subSystems and project teams:

• Actively contribute to the resolution of overarching/transverse optimizations or issues
• Manage interface with projectlevel team members & project office (e.g. industrialization control of configuration management sourcing quality) and ask if necessary for Project Directorarbitration
• Manage interface with trainlevel teams (in charge of architecture and integration) and other subsystem teams and ask if necessary for Chief Engineerarbitration

Performance measurements

• Delivery of subsystem in accordance with QCD targets (QCD KPIs) and all contractual requirements
• Subsystem gate review on time
• Compliance with Project Strategy according to defined contractual and Project commitments and targets as allocated on subsystem.

Requirements

Science technology engineering or mathematics (STEM) Bachelors Degree; STEM or Business Masters Degree desirable

Minimum 15 years of experience;

10 years railway experience desirable

Experience of working in and with multinational companies and in different business cultures desirable

Knowledgeable of ALSTOM way of working for efficient process desirable

Global knowledge of the subsystem desirable

Project Management skills; IPMA or PMP desirable

Good communication skills

Leadership entrepreneurship mindset and results oriented

Good knowledge of Project Management processes

Capacity to coordinate and ensure collaboration of mulisite/multimetier teams
