Job Description

Under the leadership of the Associate Dean of Curricular Affairs the Director is responsible for the design development review and ongoing improvement of the curriculum. The Director is responsible for having an intimate knowledge of all aspects of the curriculum and meets regularly with the Associate Dean of Curricular Affairs Associate Dean of Student Affairs Medical Education Steering Committee chair Year 12 and 34 Committee chairs Longitudinal Block Directors Assessments Team and instructional faculty to provide leadership vision support and oversight of a nonredundant relevant evidencebased highquality curriculum.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience working with diverse stakeholder groups including students and faculty developing and presenting reports leadership and supervising employees. Desired traits include intellectual curiosity flexibility dependability and integrity. The ability to maintain crossplatform organization to communicate and achieve a unified direction across various audiences and to successfully align a team of professionals will be integral to the role.

Required Qualifications

Bachelors Degree and four years of related work experience OR

Masters Degree and two years of related work experience

Related Experience:

  • academic administration
  • exposure to MD program curriculum
  • knowledge of curriculum planning implementation and assessment
  • Faculty development or providing faculty with feedback
  • demonstrated leadership skills
  • demonstrated ability to manage large projects.

Compensation Grade

C

Total Compensation

The total compensation package includes a competitive salary moving allowance (if applicable) a generous retirement plan health insurance options that include dental and vision life insurance thirty 30 days of sick leave provided upon start date and two 2 days of sick leave accrued per full month after the first year of service two 2 days of annual leave accrued each full month along with many other benefits.
