Events / Banquet Server
The Leonardo seeks an Events / Banquet Server to join our team and mission to fuse science technology and art in experiences that inspire creativity and innovation in people of all ages and backgrounds.
OVERVIEW
The ideal candidate will have a background in food service have excellent customer service skills thrive while working in a fastpaced highpressure environment; enjoy maintaining a clean and organized work environment; and havea passion for serving our community.
- Pay Rate:$10 per hour plus tips
- Schedule:Parttime oncall with various hours including nights weekends and holidays depending on events schedule
- Reports to:Senior Events Manager or Food & Beverage Manager depending on event

WHAT YOULL DO DAYTODAY:
- Setup& Preparation: Assist in setting up banquet rooms according to event specifications including arranging tables chairs linens and table settings
- Customer Service: Greet guests professionally and courteously upon arrival;Address guest inquiries requests and concerns promptly and with a positive attitude
- Food & Beverage Service: Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and efficient manner following established service standards
- CleanUp & Breakdown: Clear tables of dishes glassware and utensils as guests finish each course;Perform postevent cleanup including the removal of linens and table settings
- Compliance & Safety: Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines including food handling procedures and alcohol service laws. Report any safety hazards or equipment issues to supervisors promptly
- Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with other banquet servers and team members to ensure a cohesive and efficient service
- Additional responsibilities as needed
WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED:
- Education: High school diploma or GED required
- Experience:Previous experience as a server or in a banquet/event setting is preferred but not required
- Competencies: Knowledge of basic food and beverage service techniques and etiquette;Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; Ableto work in a fastpaced highpressure environment; Enjoy maintaining a clean and organized work environment; Havea passion for serving our community
- Physical/Other Requirements:Physical stamina to stand walk and lift trays for extended periods.
