Job Description

Job Summary:

This position will require you to work a minimum M F schedule with weekends and holidays to oncall with remotein flexibility to fix any issues arising within I.T. Must be able and willing to travel if needed for the position. This is not a workfromhome position; however workfromhome opportunities may be permitted on specific days that allow dedicated time for programming and design at the approval of your assigned manager. This position will require 80 of your work to remain within your locationbased company office in which you reside.

About Us:

Webegan as a small familyownedAlaskan logistics company aiding large multinational logistics companies in servicing Alaskas remote geographies. We created an agency model in which we assumed our clients brands and operated as their Alaskan division bringing them brand awareness in the Alaskan markets without their having to run their own operations within the state. Through partnerships with businesses throughout Alaska and a solutiondriven attitude we were able to offer creative solutions that involved multiple vendors and required a local perspective to create.

As we grew our business we expanded into Hawaii which shares many transportation challenges with Alaska limited vendors difficult routing and expensive options. By working closely with our clients from the planning phase onward we are able to supply the most costeffective methods that meet their logistics needs.

Through this drive to bring solutions to our clients we have grown from an agencyonly service provider to a full scale international 3PL providing our own courier routes trucking warehousing freight sortation and management labor oil & gas project assistance and consulting.


Now 30 years after we began we have more than 300 employees working across Alaska Canada Hawaii Washington Nevada Texas Georgia and Florida around the clock to provide our signature custom service to hundreds of longstanding clients.

Pay Range:

$26 $27 per hour DOE

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Resolving IT support requests from employees
  • Answering employee questions regarding computer systems
  • Gathering and analyzing data to diagnose problems with computer systems
  • Changing configurations settings and permissions to fix computer issues
  • Generating sign ins for new hires during the onboarding process
  • Installing new software and hardware drivers and updating existing ones as needed
  • Updating employees on the status of their service requests
  • Logging all service requests and updating tickets as needed
  • Create and design various materials for digital and print
  • Work with a wide range of media and graphic design software
  • Establish creative direction for the company within brand guidelines
  • Install and configure computer network equipment.
  • Manage disaster recovery and backups.

Qualifications:

  • 2 years experience working in a network environment
  • Highlevel knowledge of commonly used software hardware and applications
  • Strong oral communication skills to gather information from employees and explain complex technical concepts in simple language
  • Demonstrated written communication skills to create useful support logs
  • Analytical and problemsolving skills to troubleshoot and diagnose issues
  • Time management skills to provide updates and fixes within a promised time frame
  • Multitasking skills to assist multiple employees at once
  • Observational skills to recognize warning signs that indicate potential problems
  • Customer service skills to interact professionally and positively with employees and coworkers

Physical Requirements:

Work is performed in an office setting with ability to speak and receive phone communications often. Work requires computer usage with strength dexterity coordination and visual acuity to use keyboard and video display terminal and other office equipment. Moderate travel required to shareholder communities subsidiary offices and other locations as needed.
