Job Description Summary:
Hitachi Rail is looking a reliable and adaptable individual to join our system support team on an adhoc basis. We offer a variety of roles and responsibilities allowing for flexibility and the opportunity to learn new skills. The position is a casual role based in Perth Australia.
About the Position
We are currently seeking a dependable Associate engineer to join our capable Systems support team. The Associate engineer will be responsible for completing all tasks assigned by the Team Lead assisting other engineers with projects providing on call services and support assisting in client reporting and will attend site as and when required. You should be able to follow instructions but also take initiative and come up with original ideas.
Accountabilities:
Included but not limited to the following:
- Be available to work on an adhoc basis with flexible hours and varied tasks.
- Support the help desk activities for remote and centralized Maintenance activities
- Ensure the downloading of logs and dump files remotely
- Ensuring the effective day to day admin and monitoring of LAB network.
- Installing new software and Hardware
- Fixing entry level network faults and Maintenance
- Developing and maintaining all of the comprehensive paperwork/drawing associated with the implemented network at LAB
- Assisting team leader with internal and external reporting requirements
- Perform health checks utilising the project related systems in use
- Participation in team meetings attending workshops and other training initiatives.
- Taking notes and sharing your findings with your Team Leader and other relevant stakeholders.
- Maintaining professional relationships with team members.
- Keeping up to date the technical documentation and troubleshooting procedures
- Ensure all activities undertaken comply with applicable HSE laws andHSE policies and procedures including the reporting of all safety incidents using Company procedures.
Required Skills/Knowledge:
- CCNA Certification or Equivalent Technical background
- Engineering Internships in Electrical Electronics or IP Networking.
- From 0 up to 3 years Experience in system maintenance activities or equivalent
- Good at problem solving
- A dedication to continually update knowledge
- Able to explain technical problems in a simple terms (presentation etc.
