Job Description
Amazon Search is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to drive datadriven insights and analytics for our Search Assistance features including Autocomplete and Spelling Correction experiences. These critical features serve hundreds of millions of customers and generate billiondollar business impact by helping customers efficiently navigate Amazons vast product catalog.
Key Deliverables:
Own and maintain the Search Assistance Weekly Business Review (WBR) reporting suite providing critical business insights to leadership
Develop and maintain comprehensive Autocomplete Widget Dashboards to monitor feature performance and customer engagement
Build and maintain automated reporting for P0 metrics
Lead rapidresponse analytics for critical escalations and customer experience issues
As a Sr. BIE you will:
Design develop and maintain complex data pipelines to process and analyze largescale search interaction data
Create comprehensive dashboards and reports using tools like QuickSight/Tableau for realtime monitoring
Partner with Applied Scientists and Engineers to measure the effectiveness of ML models
Build analytical frameworks to evaluate A/B test results
Develop automated monitoring systems for businesscritical metrics
Lead crossfunctional analytics initiatives with product science and engineering teams
10 years of professional or military experience
5 years of SQL experience
Experience programming to extract transform and clean large (multiTB) data sets
Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results
Experience with AWS technologies
Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.
Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval data science machine learning and data mining
Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs
Experience managing analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $117300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $202800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
