CentralAtlanta Progress Inc. (CAP) is a private nonprofit corporation of Atlantabusiness leaders property owners and institutions working with each other andwith government since 1941 to help build a better city center. CAP carries outresearch and planning and acts as a catalyst for a wide range of programs andprojects for the improvement of Downtown Atlanta. A hallmark of CAP/ADIDs track record ofsuccess has been a dedication to both transportation demand management (TDM) andto broader transportation planning initiatives. CAP/ADIDs TDM work falls underthe umbrella of theTransportation Management Association (TMA) Downtown Connects which providesa range of services to the Downtown Atlanta community with the ultimate goals ofreducing traffic congestion facilitating mobility addressing parking demandand improving air quality. DowntownConnects currently works with companies and property owners in Downtown toaddress these transportation and workforce growth issues by developing andimplementing commuter programs which include carpools vanpools transitteleworking parking management and other services.
CAP is seeking a dynamic and motivated individualto join the team of transportation professionals who work to advance the visionof a multimodal Downtown through both the TMA and by assisting with the advancementof transportation programs and projects in service to growing the economic prosperityelevating the quality of life and improving the image of Downtown Atlanta.
Working under direction of the ManagingDirector of Transportation the Transportation Coordinator will primarilyconduct outreach and education to employers property owners and employees throughDowntown Connects; however general support of other transportation initiativesis also anticipated. The Coordinator will be responsible for the following:
Employer and Property Manager OutreachTechnical Assistance Support and Guidance: Collaborate with Downtown employersand property managers to advance the implementation of sustainable transportationprograms including parking management commuter benefit programs and demand managementplans;
Commuter Outreach: Conduct Downtownemployeefocused outreach and education in support of sustainabletransportation options to/from and within Downtown including rail and bustransit streetcar cycling walking carpools vanpools and alternative work arrangements.
Measure and Report Effectiveness: Developand administer commuter surveys to assess the level of program activity andparticipation and complete regular reporting activities using Salesforce (customerrelationship management software) for periodic measurement and evaluationconsistent with Atlanta Regional Commission grant requirements;
CollaborateInterdepartmentally: Work with the CAP Marketing Department to develop marketingcampaigns and events collateral newsletter and website content in support ofsustainable transportation outreach and education;
Support TransportationPlanning and Policy: Assist with the of transportation studies andplans transportation infrastructure grant applications the implementation of TDMpolicy recommendations and other transportationrelated duties;
Partnerships: Nurture existing organizationalpartnerships and relationships and develop new ones to support CAP/ADIDsmission including proactively researching potential partners and generatinginterest in shared objectives; and
Other duties that may be assignedrelated to the administration and of CAP/ADID transportationprograms.
