Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and skilled Science Teacher to teach chemistry and/or physics at our regional vocational high school. The ideal candidate will engage students through handson experiments practical applications and realworld problemsolving preparing them for both academic and career success.Key Responsibilities:1. Curriculum Development: Design and implement an engaging curriculum for chemistry and/or physics that aligns with MA DESE standards and integrates vocational applications relevant to students career pathways. 2. Instruction: Deliver highquality instruction in both chemistry and/or physics through lectures demonstrations and handson laboratory activities; differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.3. Laboratory Management: Supervise and manage laboratory activities ensuring safety protocols are followed; maintain laboratory equipment and supplies and order materials as needed.4. Assessment and Evaluation: Develop and administer assessments to evaluate student understanding and progress; provide timely feedback and support to students to enhance their learning; use data to make informed decisions that improve instruction and student outcomes.5. Student Engagement: Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration; implement projectbased learning opportunities that relate to realworld applications in the vocational field.6. Collaboration: Collaborate with other educators counselors and industry professionals to enhance the educational experience; participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and practices.7. Career Guidance: Provide students with information about careers related to chemistry and/or physics including pathways for further education and training; support students in exploring internships and jobshadowing opportunities in related fields.
