As a leader in a resource room setting you ll drive individualized instruction through expertly crafted IEPs tailored to diverse learning needs. Youll collaborate crossfunctionally with educators specialists and families to ensure that every student receives the support encouragement and tools necessary to flourish academically and socially.

Your classroom will be a space where structure meets creativity supporting positive behavior and promoting engagement. You ll personalize instructional strategies across core subjects while also embedding vital life and emotional skills. Strong communication with caregivers is essential as you build trust and transparency throughout each student s learning journey. Youll manage documentation analyze student growth and continuously adapt your teaching approach to match evolving needs. Above all youll create an inclusive learning environment that builds confidence celebrates individuality and drives meaningful outcomes for all learners.

Requirements

Bachelor s or Master s degree in Special Education or a closely related discipline.
Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement (required).
Experience working with students with disabilities in academic settings preferred.
Demonstrated ability to foster collaboration and deliver personalized studentcentered instruction.
