LG Chem has an open Finance Intern position that will be part of our corporate accounting team and will support the Business Services Team for North America. This is an excellent opportunity to learn real world experience from AP/AR month end close/Analysis projects or tasks related to Finance. This position is based in our Corporate office in the Buckhead area of Atlanta GA.

The goal of this program is to prepare future candidates for LG Chem.

What Youll Be Doing

Essential Functions (include but are not limited to):

• Perform AP Document Review (all invoices are accurate and have been properly documented and approved by the authorizing employee prior to a payment)
• Process accounting receivables and incoming payments in compliance with LG Chem finance policies.
• Perform daily financial transactions such as verifying classifying posting computing and recording accounts receivables data for customer payments.
• Prepare bills receivable invoices and bank deposits.
• Reconcile customer accounts regularly to ensure accuracy including Investigation and resolving any discrepancies in account balances
• Experience minimizing operational and financial risk and liquidity Experience initiating bank wire transactions and ensure cash policies are within LG Chem compliance.
• Maximize the use of capital and availability of liquidity while mitigating operational financial and reputational risk.
• Perform Other duties as assigned

Qualifications Skills and Experience: What Were Looking For

Competencies/Desired Skills:

Education: Students must be currently enrolled in Junior or Senior year pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Accounting Finance or Economics.

Requirements:

• Interest in pursuing an Accounting or Finance career.
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
• Selfstart with desire to learn and work autonomously.
• Participate in monthend/Quarter end/Year end close
• Excellent communication skills: verbal written and presentation
• Attention to detail with strong analytical skills
• Proficiency in the use of PC and Microsoft Office suite (Microsoft Excel Power Point Word etc.
