Job Description Summary
Play a key role in implementing AAMs sustainable procurement strategy
Lead internal/external tracking and reporting train key players within the company on AAMs sustainable procurement policies and procedures
Ensure compliance with legal requirements
Job Description
- Lead Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) quarterly supplier requirement coordination with 3rd party provider identify noncompliances produce quarterly reports
- Lead the procurement compliance strategy for the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) gather and analyze CSRD data policies and targets monitor supplier progress manage and analyse supplier sustainability data
- Lead corporatewide annual Conflict Minerals efforts including supplier data collection reporting (internal and external) and the supplier recycling survey
- Track supplier performance on AAMs sustainability reporting platform work with suppliers on gap areas and corrective actions engaging noncompliant suppliers
- Support programs/activities on behalf of AAM Global Procurement e.g. AAM Supplier Sustainability Council annual procurement responses for CDP EcoVadis AAM Sustainability Report
- Manage track and report supplier performance on Science Based Target compliance efforts
- Represent AAM Global Procurement at AIAG SET and RMI meetings attend sourcing council meetings to monitor compliance with sustainability requirements
- Monitor and communicate with suppliers / AAM associates through various mailboxes (e.g. Conflict Minerals Sustainability Due Diligence)
- Assist in the coordination of the annual supplier sustainability awards nomination and winner selection process
- All other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Education
- Successfully completed Bachelors degree with at least 5 years experience or a Masters degree with a least 3 years experience
- Strong understanding of sustainability practices environmental regulations and supply chain processes
- Proficiency working within a sustainability reporting framework policy writing experience a plus
- Experience developing and tracking targets
- Strong analytical problem solving and strategic thinking skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and set priorities
- Ability to collaborate crossfunctionally at different management levels strong communication skills including presentations to the Csuite
- Strong user knowledge of MS Office Teams Excel PowerPoint and Word
- Ability to manage databases understand information flow and establish tracking systems
- Very good English language knowledge essential good knowledge of German a plus
