The Government of Alberta Technical Services and Procurement Branch (TSPB) of Alberta Infrastructure is currently looking for a Building Energy Engineer to join our busy team in Edmonton. If you are looking for a challenging yet rewarding opportunity look no further and apply!
TSPB provides a wide range of professional and technical support as well as expertise for the technical standards planning design construction renovation commissioning postoccupancy review operation and maintenance of government owned and funded facilities as well as partnering with research institutions and industry to develop and introduce new technology. The branch also develops and maintains project standards tools and best practices for the ministry.
The Procurement section drives to maximize value and minimize risk for Alberta Infrastructure projects by championing leading class procurement practices and delivering strategic advice for the benefit of the Ministry our stakeholders and all Albertans.
Reporting to the Senior Sustainability Specialist this position provides technical expertise to stakeholders to optimize the design for energy performance and reduced carbon emissions. This accounts for the stakeholders concerns and restrictions of project budgets. Lessons learned assist with the ongoing development of standards.
