Your Impact

As Axons Corporate Counsel (Federal) you will report directly to our Assistant General Counsel and serve as an inhouse attorney primarily supporting Axons Federal team. As a legal partner to business teammates you will handle transactional legal matters and projects advise and drive regulatory and compliance initiatives and research and advise on legal rights and duties as they relate to Axons Federal business.

What Youll Do
Location: Washington DC
Reports to: Associate General Counsel

• Serve as primary Legal support to Axons Federal team in its pursuit of supporting and growing Axons U.S. federal business
• Serve as Axons subject matter expert for federal government contracting matters and related compliance requirements
• Improve develop and execute Axons policies processes and procedures for compliance with federal contracting requirements
• Coordinate crossfunctionally across Axon with Sales Product Supply Chain Finance and People Operations to support the companys growth in federal markets
• Support development implementation and maintenance of contract lifecycle management system
• Advise on federal regulatory compliance for business organizations
• Research and advise on corporate governance practices including federal contractual compliance
• Perform general legal research and analyze associated impact on the company
• Support state and local contracting efforts as needed
• Support and help maintain Axons compliance with federal data controls including CUI and relevant security clearances

What You Bring

• Minimum of 7 years of corporate transactional and compliance experience in the federal space
• Proven experience drafting and negotiating transactions with the federal government
• Deep understanding and experience with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
• Understanding of and experience with multiple award contracting including Federal GSA schedule management considerations (e.g. preparing Commercial Sales Practices submissions IFF reporting subsequent GSA schedule requirements monitoring)
• Experience with export control compliance of controlled technology including experience with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) is preferred
• Administrative and managerial skills and ability
• Excellent research writing analytical negotiation communication and presentation skills
• High attention to detail selfstarter and ability to work independently
• Thrive in a fastpaced dynamic and collaborative environment
• Success working as part of a team and ability to handle multiple projects and assignments
• Intellectual horsepower bias for action passfirst attitude
• JD from an accredited law school with outstanding academic credentials
• Admission to a State Bar within the United States
