Job Description
The role
We are seeking a highly motivated intern to join the Global Finance team for the summer 10 weeks). The Global Finance team is responsible for several different functions within Digital Realty including supporting the companys financial reporting requirements strategic nearterm and longterm planning assessing capital raising options and providing the business with critical financial and commercial insights to drive decision making.
What youll do
- Support a cross functional finance team in a variety of projects including monthly financial reporting and budget & forecast preparation
- Assist in the preparation and review of quarterly board presentations
- Assist in the preparation and review of quarterly earnings materials
- Support the team through the monthly close process and the financial reporting cycle
- Support the team in analyzing capital raising options
- Contribute to the analysis and assessment of KPIs to drive financial and commercial decisions
- Participate and contribute on global team calls understanding the dynamics and culture of a global finance team
What youll need
- Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in finance accounting or related area of study
- Expected to be CPAeligible upon completion of a degree in accounting
- Experience working with Microsoft Office (especially Word Outlook and Excel)
- Ability to read and understand basic financial statements (trial balance income statement balance sheet etc.
- Enthusiasm and ability to function and learn in a dynamic environment with complex challenges
- Clear verbal communication and ability to articulate matters in concise writing
- Proactively seek guidance clarification and feedback
- Demonstrate flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks while exercising professional skepticism
