Job Description
Ansible Government Solutions LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting multiple Cardiac Perfusionist to support operations at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System located at 2400 Canal Street New Orleans LA 70119. The work schedule is expected to be MondayFriday with on call.If you accept employment with Ansible you must also acknowledge that any assigned schedule is subject to change at the direction of either Ansible or its customers.

Responsibilities
- Utilizestandard cardiopulmonary bypass equipment standard membrane and nonmembrane oxygenator systems blood and red cell salvaging equipment pulsatile preservation routines intraaortic balloon pumps (IABP) and research or clinical experience in other forms of assisted circulation.
- Perfusionist shall be capable of and have successful experience in operating both standard cardiopulmonary bypass and intraaortic balloon pumps simultaneously without the need for another cardiopulmonary bypass Perfusionist or assisted circulation technician.
- Shall perform onsite perfusion services in the treatment of care of eligible veteran beneficiaries as referred and authorized by the VAMC.
- Assemble supplies and equipment in preparation to accept patients on extra corporeal circulation in cases of premature cardiac arrest or failure.
- Other services include preparation maintenance and operation of VA owned equipment to include the heart lung machine intraaortic balloon pump and centrifugal ventricular assist device.
- Education: Candidates must hold a degree in perfusion as described below in paragraphs 1 and 2 that is approved by the VA.
- 1 Bachelors or masters degree in perfusion from a program in the United States or Canada accredited by the CAAHEP or RQualTM Canada.
- 2 Bachelors or masters degree in addition to a postbaccalaureate certificate in perfusion from a program accredited by CAAHEP or the EQualTM Canada.
- Full and unrestricted license to the services covered by this contract issued in any State Territory or Commonwealth of the Unites States or the District of Columbia.
- Shall be a graduate of an accredited Allied health Education Program School of Perfusion Technology and shall be certified by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion.
- Experience shall be demonstrated in the following areas: Open heart surgery heart lung machine membrane oxygenation left/right heart bypass intraaortic balloon pumping and centrifugal ventricular assist device.
- Active certification as an Perfusionist as well as documentation verifying the current certification.
- Active AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- No sponsorship available.
All candidates must be able to:
- Sit stand walk lift squat bend twist and reach above shoulders during the work shift
- Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
- Lift up to 20 lbs
- Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
- Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
