MGH is seeking RNs to join our Magnet-designated nursing team in our state-of-the-art multidisciplinary intensive care unit. Ellison 9 Cardiac ICU is a patient and family centered 16 bed adult unit serving critically ill cardiac ICU patients. The most common diagnoses and/or interventions are: hemodynamic monitoring intra-aortic balloon counter pulsation ventricular assist devices CVVH hypothermia after cardiac arrest recovery from coronary procedures including percutaneous aortic and mitral valve replacement recovery from acute myocardial infarction complicated by cardiogenic shock arrhythmias congestive heart failure respiratory failure and/or multiple organ dysfunction/failure. A multi-disciplinary team approach is focused on the psychosocial and emotional support of the patients and their families.
