Job Description
The Team
The Campbell River Child and Youth Mental Health Team brings together a passionate and supportive group of professionals dedicated to making a difference for children youth and families. With seven masterslevel clinicians a mental health support worker and specialized Indigenous and integrated practice programs this team works creatively to provide accessible personcentered careincluding to remote communities like Gold River and Cortes Island. They collaborate with social workers medical professionals and schools to ensure wraparound support and they do it all with humor heart and a commitment to continuous learning. The Role
As a Mental Health Clinician you provide individual counseling for youth and families create biopsychosocial treatment plans and manage a caseload while collaborating with community partners to support young people in all areas of their lives. You build trust with marginalized families complete risk assessments and safety plans and offer compassionate care that leads to improved mental health outcomes. This role brings flexibility creativity and the chance to work on a dynamic and fun team while making a real difference in the lives of remarkable young people.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
- Masters in Counselling Social Work Educational Counselling Clinical Counselling Clinical Psychology or Child and Youth Care or comparable graduate degree at the Masters level in a similar subject may be considered.
- NOTE:If your degree was obtained outside of Canada you need to confirm it has been assessed for equivalency through the International Credential Evaluation Services ICES. You must provide a basic report by the closing date of this posting to be considered.
- Minimum of one year fulltime equivalent experience working with children and youth and their families with responsibility for providing a wide range of community based mental health services.
- Must possess and maintain a valid class 5 BC Drivers license with no restriction or equivalent (i.e. from another Canadian Province).
Preference may be given to applicants with the following:
- One 1 or more years experience working with vulnerable children and youth and their families with responsibility for providing a wide range of community based services.
- Applicants who selfidentify as First Nations Mtis or Inuit with the required combination of education and experience.

About this Position:
This is a temporary opportunity until 05/29/2026.This position may be extended or become permanent.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 2 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies.
