Position Overview
As a Service Writer at our dealership youll be the critical link between our customers and technicians. Youll greet customers consult on vehicle issues create detailed repair orders and ensure an exceptional service experience from start to finish. This role combines technical automotive knowledge with outstanding customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers professionally and provide exceptional service throughout their visit
- Accurately document customer concerns and create detailed repair orders
- Perform thorough vehicle walkarounds and initial assessments
- Communicate effectively between customers and technicians
- Present service recommendations clearly and professionally
- Explain vehicle issues repair options and costs to customers
- Recommend and sell appropriate maintenance services
- Provide accurate time and cost estimates
- Follow up with customers during the repair process
- Process warranty claims accurately
- Coordinate with parts department to ensure timely repairs
- Maintain detailed documentation for all service work
Required Qualifications
- Valid drivers license
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional customer service orientation
- Basic working knowledge of automotive systems and terminology
- Ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment
- Computer proficiency
- Teamoriented with a positive cando attitude
- Availability to work flexible hours including some evenings and weekends as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a service writer or service advisor
- Automotive technician experience
- Experience with automotive service software and parts catalogs
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification
- Formal automotive training through vocational college technical school or OEM programs
- Knowledge of latest automotive technologies and service procedures
