Job Description
Vanguard is hiring a Senior ESG Reporting Lead who will be responsible for overseeing and managing Vanguards global ESG reporting processes. Responsibilities include the monitoring of consistent application of ESG reporting requirements across entities ongoing updates and communication and documentation of changes in disclosure requirements. This role requires a strong ability to deal with ambiguity excellent project management skills and the ability to work crossfunctionally to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
Responsibilities
- ESG Reporting:Lead the development and of Vanguards global ESG reporting strategy including the preparation of annual sustainability reports disclosures and other relevant documentation.
- Project Management:Manage ESG reporting projects from inception to completion ensuring all deliverables are met on time and within scope. Develop project plans and timelines.
- Data Collection and Analysis:Oversee the collection validation and analysis of ESG data from various departments. Ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Stakeholder Engagement:Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including investors regulators and industry groups to communicate Vanguards ESG performance and initiatives.
- Compliance:Ensure compliance with relevant ESG reporting standards and frameworks such as GRI SASB TCFD and others.
- Continuous Improvement:Identify opportunities for improving ESG reporting processes and implement best practices.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in in Accounting Finance Environmental Science Sustainability or a related field. MS/MBA highly preferred or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Minimum of 57 years of experience in a reporting environment.
- Proven project management experience with a track record of successfully managing complex projects.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with ESG reporting standards and frameworks or ability to quickly learn.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with reporting software.
- Strong problem identification and resolution skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external clients.
- Ability to interact effectively with senior management as well as various levels of staff and management across the organization.
