Provides administrative support to Diversity Equity Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) and Student Development and Leadership (SDL) departments with regards to job postings hiring recommendations internal onboarding procedures I9 scheduled training and testing exit interviews reporting relationships and completion of all HR documentations; acts as a liaison between DEIB/SDL and RHS Human Resources department; assists with departmental staff to answer questions or concerns related to DEIB/SDL; meets weekly/monthly with leadership and managers regarding workforce needs; assists with recruitment activities such as posting job openings scheduling interviews and coordinating candidate communications; maintains accurate and uptodate employee records both digital and physical ensuring compliance with legal and university standards; supports onboarding and offboarding processes including preparation of documentation coordination of orientation sessions and collection of required paperwork; oversees the RHS and Student Affairs performance management system with regards to training and supporting the Performance Excellence process Performance Improvement Plans Organizational Development Restorative Practices HR 101 and Emotional Intelligence; processes and tracks HRrelated documentation and employee evaluations; responds to employee inquiries regarding HR policies processes and other related topics with confidentiality; assists in organizing employee engagement activities training sessions and MAU events; organizes training activities meetings and inhouse events; enters data into RHS systems and databases; prepares and assists materials for presentations and meetings including developing PowerPoint presentations; ensures confidentiality and security of sensitive HR data and information; performs other administrative tasks and special projects assigned by HR leadership. Remote work schedule is currently hybrid with 3 days in office and 2 days remote.
All positions in RHS are designated as critical status. In the event of a university closure modification or suspension of operations due to snow or other emergency conditions you will be expected to make all reasonable attempts to report to work as scheduled for the duration of the closure/suspension. If you have an approved remote work agreement to work a portion of your normally scheduled work hours remotely you may be called upon to work onsite to serve the MSU community. Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four year college degree program in Human Resources Business Administration or related field; three to five years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in managing human resource functions designing and implementing training programs and human resource/labor relations management and computer applications; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
