Are you an aspiring Religious Studies teacher looking for your first teaching role in a welcoming and supportive school
We are seeking an Early Career Teacher (ECT) of Religious Studies to join our school in September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and inspire students to explore ethics philosophy and different faiths.
Salary: 36412 (Outer London pay scale)
Religious Studies ECT Role & Responsibilities:
- Teach engaging and thoughtprovoking Religious Studies lessons to Key Stage 3 and 4.
- Encourage students to explore ethical and philosophical questions critically.
- Monitor student progress and provide targeted support.
- Work closely with colleagues and your ECT mentor to develop teaching strategies.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities such as debate clubs and interfaith events.
- Uphold safeguarding and behaviour policies to ensure a positive learning environment.
Religious Studies ECT Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or pending completion of Initial Teacher Training.
- Passion for Religious Studies and the ability to engage students in discussions.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and respectful classroom environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
