Job Description
- Direct curriculum for each year.
- Prepare materials for class such as adapted readings projects teaching materials.
- Interact with families inquiring about the program or who have issues; provide materials for home use when needed; visit children in hospitals family wakes and celebrations.
- Coordinate preparation for sacraments (Reconciliation First Communion and Confirmation). Maintain accurate records of each event.
- Attend sacraments celebrated at other parishes lead prayer events as necessary.
- Promote Special Needs Program throughout the vicariate.
- Support training of Special Needs liturgical ministers.
- Structure outreach activities for older students such as cookie bake for soup kitchen Easter baskets for St. Christine.
- Part time position.
- 9 months per year.
- Classes every other week with potential to expand.
