Job Description
Datadogs Runtime Configuration (RCFG) team allows our Engineers to safely manage and distribute configuration and feature flags at scale. The team owns the services infrastructure and workflows providing our Engineers with a platform to safely test and release features in production.
Were looking for a handson technical leader to cultivate a growing team of Engineers with an ambitious internal product roadmap.You will work closely with your team and counterparts across infrastructure and product to deliver a userfocused configuration management system. This is a highimpact position developing a platform which touches almost every system within Datadog.

What Youll Do:
- Lead technical and architectural discussions to better understand challenges and problems faced by our team and the engineering community.
- Stay in touch with your teams code and roll up your sleeves when needed to unblock your team by writing code or troubleshooting issues.
- Lead and cultivate a team of engineers with a diverse skillset including performance management and career development.
- Own and drive relationships with engineering teams and major stakeholders helping to prioritize impact towards the teams north star.
- Run OKR processes to define and align the teams quarterly goals with the needs of the business and platform.
Who You Are:
- Youre experienced working directly with internal customers to understand their needs and develop product roadmaps.
- Youve built out robust platforms made up of services data stores and data streams prioritizing impact and sustainability.
- Youre a forward thinker looking for an opportunity to grow in a fastpaced highgrowth startup environment providing leadership and direction for a highly technical team.
- You have significant experience in one or more backend languages such as Go Python Java or similar; and with different types of data stores such as PostgreSQL Cassandra Redis or ElasticSearch.
- You have experience working on browserbased user interfaces and working with Designers. Bonus points if you have fullstack skills or experience with JavaScript / TypeScript.
- Experience working with internal tooling developer tooling engineering enablement or similar internallyfocused areas would be beneficial in this role.
- You have a BS/MS/PhD in a Computer Science Engineering or related scientific field or equivalent professional experience.
