About the Role:
The Event Advisor oversees the planning and postevent processes for company events. This position is critical in ensuring seamless event operations and enhancing the attendee experience. The Event Advisor collaborates with crossfunctional teams manages event logistics and oversees communication channels to ensure successful event delivery.
What you will be doing:
- Strategic Event Planning & : Lead the development and of event plans timelines and logistics to align with organizational goals.
- Team Coordination: Oversee and mentor event coordination staff ensuring roles and responsibilities are effectively assigned and executed.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with internal teams vendors and key stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination and alignment with event objectives.
- Operational Oversight: Oversee setup and teardown of events ensuring all operational aspects are handled efficiently.
- Budget & Resource Management: Negotiate vendor contracts and ensure costeffective event .
- Risk Management & Contingency Planning: Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions.
- PostEvent Analysis & Reporting: Conduct postevent evaluations collect feedback and provide datadriven recommendations for future improvements.
Qualifications:
- 25 years of experience in similar roles and requirement for postsecondary education in a related field
- Extensive experience in event planning coordination and .
- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
- Excellent communication negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in event management software and digital communication tools.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing event needs in real time.
Positions at the MNO may require the following:
- Current CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain
- Completion and maintenance of Vulnerable Sector Verification
- A reliable vehicle (or ability to rent) drivers licence $liability insurance and a clean driving record
- Flexibility to work extended hours as necessary
- Ability to occasionally travel within Ontario for limited periods
