SpotXis based in the US and expanding operations internationally including expanding our Engineering office in Belfast.We are seeking a highly talented Senior Software Engineerwho can contribute brilliantly to our team located there including leading and managing a team of engineers. We are a fastpaced but casual environment with highly talented peers. You will be versatile disciplined and enjoy focusing on new challenges in the ad tech space.
Making an immediate impact:
- Develop new tools and technologies in the video ad serving space
- Be part of a cross functional engineering team
- Assess and continuously improve the development lifecycle
- Influence the direction of our products and technology choices
- Build and shape the team culture and working environment
What your daytoday will look like:
Daily life atSpotXis all about the codewe write. Youll start most days with a coffee or snack from the kitchen while you organize yourself for your day. After standup youll spend the majority of your day at the keyboard doing what you do best: slinging code that reads as well as it functions. MeetingsSchmeetings we value your time. Sometimes you will work with a partner (we love pair programming) and sometimes youll work with your best set of headphones. Front end Back end Where do you like to work In either case you will also write the tests that back up your code.
Throughout the day you may take a break to head to the whiteboard with one of your teammates to help them work through design or review code so that it can be merged to the baseline. At some point you may beinvited to a meeting to discuss or plan work that is coming soon. We love new ideas and we love solving problems together even if its over a game of pool.
PreferredSpotXertalents:
- Awesome development and design skills
- Experience in OO and/or Functional programming languages
- The desire and ability to continue learning
- 5years experiencedelivering successfully in an agile environment
- Demonstrated ability to lead the development of features/components
- Experience with: Linux/Unix Git SQL
