Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Vice President of Engineering and Product Development to drive innovation lead our product development and spearhead the creation of cuttingedge firearms components and adjacent products. Reporting directly to the General Manager you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of product design development and engineering processes. This role requires a seasoned leader with a deep understanding of firearms manufacturing a passion for innovation and a proven track record of successfully bringing new products to market.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Strategic Product Vision: Develop and execute the companys product development strategies aligned with business goals driving innovation and market differentiation.
- Product Innovation: Lead the ideation conceptualization and creation of new firearms products that meet market demands and customer preferences.
- Market Research: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends opportunities and customer needs guiding the direction of product development efforts.
- Crossfunctional Collaboration: Collaborate with design engineering manufacturing and marketing teams to ensure seamless product development processes and successful launches.
- Team Leadership: Inspire and lead a diverse team of product managers designers and technical experts fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Project Management: Oversee endtoend product development lifecycle from concept to launch ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Product Roadmap: Define and execute a comprehensive product roadmap prioritizing projects based on market potential and business objectives.
- CustomerCentric Approach: Champion a customerfocused mindset incorporating customer feedback and insights into product development strategies.
- Competitive Analysis: Monitor industry trends competitor products and market dynamics to identify opportunities for differentiation and enhancement.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all products adhere to industry standards and regulatory guidelines collaborating closely with compliance teams.
- Product Launch Excellence: Coordinate and lead product launch activities ensuring effective communication and crossfunctional alignment.
Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Business Marketing Engineering Industrial Design or a related field.
- Proven track record in firearms product development with a history of successful product launches.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in managing product development teams and fostering innovation.
- Strong market understanding and ability to translate customer needs into successful product strategies.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to drive crossfunctional collaboration.
- Exceptional problemsolving skills and analytical abilities.
- Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate product visions and strategies.
- Knowledge of firearms industry regulations safety standards and compliance requirements.
