Description
We are excited to announce a captivating opportunity for the position of Course Coordinator in the School of Nursing at IHNA. This role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities including academic leadership overseeing operational aspects of student training support and completion as well as coordinating all aspects of the specific course(s) being delivered at our campus. The Course Coordinator will be actively involved in facilitating student learning providing academic guidance marking assessments facilitating communication and coordinating clinical facilitation.
Your role may include but is not limited to:
- Oversee the planning implementation and evaluation of courses.
- Ensure all courses meet regulatory and accreditation requirements.
- Assist trainers with resources training materials and ongoing support.
- Provide guidance and assistance to students regarding course selections progress and any issues they may encounter.
- Monitor student progress and implement strategies to support their academic journey ensuring timely completion of courses.
- Track and analyse course completion rates identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary actions.
- Monitor and evaluate course delivery and outcomes implementing improvements as needed.
- Liaise with industry partners accrediting bodies and other stakeholders to ensure courses remain relevant and up to date.
Skills And Experiences
Skills and Knowledge
What you need:
- Current and unrestricted AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse
- Bachelors degree or higher qualification in Nursing
- TAE40116/TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent/higher qualification.
- At least 5year of experience as a Nurse Educator and 10 years of Clinical Experience is (highly desirable)
- Understanding of the Australian VET sector compliance requirements and accreditation processes.
Please note successful candidates are required to have the following checks:
- National Police Clearance (valid within the last 3 months) or willing to apply for one
- Working with Children Check or willing to apply for one.
