Our technology business is transitioning to operate around Product Stacks each consisting of highly skilled engineering teams developing and operating one or more pioneering insurance products. Whilst the vision for our Technology suite is to move further towards SaaS solutions our current estate is a mix of SaaS and onpremise software.

The Role

As a Stack Product Leader you will be a senior member of the Product Stack team. You will collaborate with the Stack Global Proposition Leader(s) Stack Engineering Leader and Stack Solution Architects but will ultimately be responsible for:

Defining the roadmap for how the market requirements will be delivered by the solutions within the product stack and how we move to a common SaaS architecture balancing short and longterm requirements of products and the overall ongoing health of the product stack.

Facilitating the solution design / architecture of the Product Stack balancing functional and nonfunctional requirements

Managing product life cycles from conceptualisation through to retirement

Owning the cost of delivering and operating the Stack to ensure the Stack is commercially viable and feed this into the commercial proposition and price lists

Defining and managing the KPIs SLAs and other key metrics for the Stack

Driving collaboration across the Product Stack and broader ICT functions to ensure the vision for the product is met

Identifying required Product Stack development needs and maintaining prioritised product development roadmap and development backlogs

Providing effective operational and delivery risk management across Product Stack

Ensuring products are well serviced supported and perform within client expectations (including SLAs).

Line managing and functionally managing product TPLs (Technical Product Leads) and insurance SMEs

Allocating budgeted resources to allow effective delivery of prioritised Product Stack roadmaps

Managing the Product Stack budget to ensure costeffective utilisation of all available resources within budget

Developing and operating all Product Stack products to agreed timescales scope and quality (including security and service level objectives)

Monitoring the market and ensuring product features remain competitive across the Product Stack

You will also collaborate with other ICT Leads to:

Develop and communicate the global strategy for profitable growth and ensure alignment with market needs.

Work with the Proposition Steering Group periodically to review allocation of investment across Product Stacks

The Requirements

The essential skills/experience for this position are:

Proven experience in senior strategic product roles preferably within a SaaS environment.

Experience fostering and coaching cross team collaboration across both technology and product disciplines.

Successful track record influencing and earning the respect of highcalibre product and technical specialists.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adjust interaction and message to different levels across different disciplines.

Experience in managing budgets and resource allocation.

Enthusiastic motivational decisive collaborative always looking to improve the ways of working.

Strong work ethic: proactive tenacious organised hardworking and working fast across multiple tasks.

Strong academic qualifications likely to have a first or uppersecond class degree or equivalent in a numerate subject (sciences engineering mathematics).
