Job Title: Occupational Therapist Moving and Handling Optimisation Team
Location: Manchester
Rate: Up to 36 per hour (depending on experience)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Occupational Therapist (OT) to join the Moving and Handling Optimisation Team within social care in Manchester.
What will your responsibilities be
As an Occupational Therapist you will utilise your expertise in moving and handling techniques equipment adaptations and assistive technology to enhance individuals independence and quality of life. Your role will involve conducting risk assessments providing training to carers on equipment such as hoists slings and stand aids and working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team (MDT) that includes Physiotherapists Social Workers and Assessment Officers. You will report to the Moving and Handling Optimisation Team Manager (OT).

Qualifications and Experiences:
To be successful in this role you must have a degree in Occupational Therapy and be registered with the HCPC. Experience in moving and handling including risk assessments and training is essential. A background in singlehanded care is desirable. Additionally as this is a citywide role a full UK driving licence is required.
