3 months contract with local authority
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Waiting List Outreach Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our this role you will be responsible for making daily phone calls to residents on a waiting list ensuring their safety and providing reassurance. You will also assess the level of risk and prescribe any necessary simple equipment. The role requires strict adherence to targets and daily reporting of contacts. The ideal candidate will possess robust clinical reasoning and risk management skills. While the role will be mostly remote there may be occasional in-person attendance required in the borough. Additionally the candidate may need to provide support for critical council issues on an ad hoc basis. This position will be supervised by the OT Manager and Advanced Practitioner OT.
Requirements
- Proven experience in occupational therapy or a related field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to demonstrate clinical reasoning and risk management
- Strong organizational skills and ability to meet strict targets
- Flexibility to attend in-person meetings as required
- Willingness to provide support for critical council issues on an ad hoc basis
