Job Description

Labcorp is recruiting an Enterprise Desktop Support Technician for a dynamic team in Buffalo NY. This will be an onsite position.

LabCorp/OmniSeq Inc a molecular diagnostic service of LabCorp with focus on solid tumors is seeking a motivated IT professional to provide exceptional customer service and support for all Labcorp IT divisional installations. Responsibilities include customer training properly tagging tracking and returning equipment integration issues hardware software and security updates partnering and coordinating with the IT Help Desk Sr IT Service Technicians or Managers to determine a plan of action and resolve.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for Labcorp owned hardware associated with IOPs PSCs Labs/Branches and client facing computer systems.

  • Document Labcorp hardware asset tags.

  • Works with Corporate and Divisional IT Teams to Coordinate system installations conduct training sessions and facilitate timely trouble ticket resolutions.

  • Onsite troubleshooting to resolve technical issues with LCA proprietary hardware software clinical lab instruments and network.

  • When possible utilizing remote access tools to previously installed systems for troubleshooting client training and resolving issues.

  • Provide status updates on assigned tasks. Capture hours associated with daily support.

  • Follow the defined RMA process to return equipment and support security initiatives to replace outdated hardware.

  • Manage OmniSeq User Account Access

Education and Experience:

  • HS Diploma required

  • 12 years of relevant desktop support experience required

Additional Responsibilities/Preferred Qualifications:

  • Problem solving: Involves issues with hardware (computer printer scanner etc. software connectivity licensing user training security and workflow issues within the practice.

  • Decision making: May trouble issues involving software updates cabling adding new hardware additional training of personnel licensing security workflow etc. Will make the decision who to reach out to based on judgment of impact severity and support required such the IT Help Desk Sr IT Service Technician or their manager to address the issue and resolve. The decisionmaking impacts customer service and Labcorps reputation.

  • Communication: This position is predominantly client facing requiring excellent customer service skills that include routine technology setups merger/acquisition setups maintenance problem solving with accountability for all followups. The role also speaks directly with office personnel (Lab personnel Bioinformatics teams Software Developers System Administrators Pathologists etc. possessing excellent customer service to determine issues/concerns and followup. Required to provide feedback on the status of assigned support tickets verbally and written action taken and close out with their manager or via ticketing system entry and customers. They alert the appropriate sales rep. whenever they are working on an account including the outcome and any additional followup required including sales opportunities.

Physical requirements:

  • Physical requirements can include bending stooping twisting turning lifting 30 lbs. or less and working in unusual positions requiring full body mobility for equipment and cable instillations.

Working Conditions:

Onsite 1st Shift Monday Friday

Application Window: Open through 4/11/25

Pay Range: $60 65K/yr
