Position Overview
The Maintenance Technician supports the safe and efficient operation of our buildings grounds and agency vehicles. The role involves general upkeep emergency repairs and seasonal maintenance ensuring a safe functional and welcoming environment for staff youth and visitors.
Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must hold a High School Diploma or GED
- General knowledge of building systems (plumbing electrical HVAC) strongly preferred
- Prior maintenance experience in residential or child care facilities is a plus
- Ability to pass background checks drug screening and a physical
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record preferred
Note: Construction electrical or skilled trades experience is not required but highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine building maintenance: plumbing painting electrical window repair
- Handle drywall and minor roofing repairs
- Respond to emergency or unscheduled maintenance needs
- Use a variety of hand and power tools electric meters and equipment safely
- Groundskeeping: mowing snow removal landscaping general lawn care
- Maintain agency vehicles: basic servicing cleaning and reporting issues
- Deliver food and household supplies to residential units as needed
- Assist with other maintenance duties as assigned by the Director of Buildings and Grounds
- Other duties assigned by Director of Engineering
Schedule and Availability
- Full time. Monday through Friday 7AM to 3:30PM.
- On-call rotation: 1 weekend per month
