Job Description
Summary:Performs testing on various products using established test methods and various lab equipment.
- Physical Properties Testing Laboratory
- Physical testing of sample products (Will learn test methods)
- Batchmaking
- Data reporting to client
- Data management
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform any other general duties that may be assigned such as prototyping cleaning etc.
- Seamlessly communicate with the Lab Manager to assure all testing will be completed accurately and within the required timing.
- Perform basic operations of the database including entering data and pulling data reports.
- Assist research staff in scheduling and placing environmental product studies.
- Reports any issues effecting efficiencies or priorities directly to Lab Manager.
- Assist in trouble shooting problems with test equipment fixtures electronics and any general lab equipment needed for daily lab production.
- Report any equipment/maintenance or safety issues to proper authority promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment.
- Maintain a fully stocked lab with needed supplies.
- Maintain good laboratory controls and documentation of testing records.
- Record tested attributes and variables into proper format (electronic or written) and maintain accurate back up filing system deliver test results to lab manager in a timely fashion.
- Perform necessary mathematical calculations where/when required.
- Confirm and use approved test methods equipment and fixtures to assure conformance to each test methodology.
- Accurately prepare and test samples using approved methods and equipment.
- Provide support in troubleshooting desktop software/hardware problems for end users
