Job description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Field Project Supervisor Fire Protection. This hybrid role combines the strategic oversight of projects with handson supervision of fire sprinkler construction activities. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in fire protection systems project management and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management
- Plan execute and oversee fire sprinkler projects from inception to completion ensuring they meet scope budget and timeline.
- Collaborate with clients stakeholders and internal teams to define project objectives and deliverables.
- Develop and maintain project schedules track progress and manage risks.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders on project status and outcomes.
Fire Sprinkler Construction Supervision:
- Oversee the installation and modification of fire sprinkler systems ensuring compliance with local codes safety regulations and company standards.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress address issues and ensure quality control.
- Coordinate with engineers technicians and subcontractors to optimize workflow and resource allocation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve onsite technical and operational challenges.
Leadership and Collaboration
- Lead and mentor a team of sprinkler fitters and apprentices.
- Provide oversight and guidance to ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices.
- Act as a liaison between the regional office and onsite teams to ensure seamless communication and alignment.
The qualifications we are looking for in a successful candidate include:
- 3 years of project coordination experience preferably Fire Protection Industry.
- PostSecondary Education in either a fire protection or mechanical related program.
- Previous knowledge and working experience in Procore for project management tasks an asset.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written a must.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong technical writing skills.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment with strict deadlines.
- Fire Sprinkler Industry or Construction Industry experience an asset.
- Knowledge of applicable codes and standards.
- Experience working with Excel Word AutoCAD.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Willing to travel as required based on the location of current projects.
- Valid Drivers license with a clean record.
