Join our highly visible team and perform technically challenging assignments which willcloselycontributeto protecting our nation and our products. We are seeking aPrincipalSystems Security / Cyber Engineerto function as a key contributor for the Integrated Strategic Solutions Engineering team.

As a member of the Mission Platform Systems Security Engineering (MPSSE) team we want you todevelopsolutionstosecurethe Warfighters technology advantage. Systems Security Engineering creates securitysolutionsleveraging multiple disciplines like AntiTamper (AT) Software Assurance Hardware Assurance Cryptography NSA Type 1 Certification and Supply ChainRiskManagement(SCRM) tosupportProgram Protection Implementation across major program(s).

Position Location Richardson TX

What YOU will do:

  • YOU will implement security improvements by assessing current situation; evaluating trends; developing security architecture and requirements and design architecture artifacts plans and policies.

  • YOU will support and develop Risk Management Framework (RMF) documents and controls validation testing for Authority to Operate (ATO) accreditations

  • YOU will perform analysis on cybersecurity collected data and test results.

  • YOU will conduct cybersecurity audits to ensure appropriate implementation and compliance of the security posture of the system.

Qualifications YOU must have:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of 4 years experience. Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date

  • U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

  • DoDI 8570.01M IAT Level II or Level III Compliant Certification (e.g. Security CISSP or equivalent).

  • Experience with security features and/orvulnerabilityanalysis of various operating systems as defined by Intelligence agencies.

  • Proven experience with embedded systems security (realtime embedded systems architecture).

  • Experience in Systems Engineering requirements specifications and experience implementing DoD and Federal IA certification and accreditation processes IA controls and developing and maintaining associated documentation and experience with NIST 80053 RMF as described in NIST Special Publication 80037.

  • Experience with security systems engineeringinvolvingvarious computer hardware and software S/W operating system and applicationsolutionsin both astandalone and in LAN/WAN configurations.

Qualifications we prefer:

  • Active and transferable U.S. Government DoD TOP SECRET level clearance

  • Familiar with NSA Type 1 certification process.

  • Familiar with Program Protection Plan (PPP)DoDI 5000.02 and DoDI 5200.39.

  • Experience working on U.S. Government contract proposals as an Information Assurance Engineer subject matter experienced professional.

  • Familiar with cloud and/or virtualization technologies.

  • Experience with IT and/or network and system security administration including operating system security configuration and accountadministrationbest practices for UNIX MS Windows Red HatEnterpriseLinux and CISCO Systems.

  • Experience with usageof information security toolsets including antivirusVulnerabilityAssessment HIDS/ NIDS. hostbased or endpoint securitysolutions MultiFactor Authentication (MFA) and Security Incident andEventManagement(SIEM) and centralized auditing resources.

The salary range for this role is 101000 USD 203000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
