1st Shift
GENERAL PURPOSE
This position requires that the employee be responsible for general maintenance
responsibilities throughout the facility and production areas.
DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Pickup and transport trash cardboard wood and recycling from all departments
Dispose of materials according to procedure
Perform routine equipment maintenance tasks including greasing oiling and cleaning
machines.
Perform facility cleaning operations including mopping vacuuming cleaning etc
Perform any miscellaneous jobs required for any department
Make sure materials are readily available for the job
Update all completed work in the correct system and schedule
Assist in other plant operations
Complete cleanup responsibilities and maintain work station according to 5S
procedure
Perform work at or above preestablished performance objectives
Understand workplace hazards and take steps to proactively prevent and report
hazards or injuries in the workplace. Cooperate in safety programs initiatives and
investigations

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Essential Knowledge Skills and Abilities Required:
Ability to follow directions
Flexibility and willingness to adapt to frequently changing priorities/tasks
Possess a mechanical aptitude
Ability to identify and communicate hazards and basic process improvements
Ability to work well in a team environment
Proven reliability attendance and punctuality
Minimum Education and Experience Required:
Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED with a minimum of two 2 years
experience with facility maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
No previous work experience is necessary for this position
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to stand for 8
hours/day while making coordinated movements of the hands and fingers to
grasp/pinch and manipulate objects. This may include frequent use of
vibrating/pneumatic tools overhead and outstretched reaching with arms
bending/twisting/stooping kneeling/squatting and frequently lifting/carrying up to 40
lbs. throughout the day and occasionally up to 70 lbs. as needed. Also may occasionally
include pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs.
May occasionally be exposed to dust and spray fumes.
Regular shop assembly/distribution center environment (no air conditioning)
Steeltoed shoes are required for working in this position.
