Payroll Specialist
The Payroll Specialist will assist the accounting department run smoothly. They will run the payroll in its entirety and will need to be efficient in all submissions.
Responsibilities:
Process and manage payroll accurately for all employees
Perform pay/time calculations including prevailing wage and certified payroll
Pay all payroll taxes and associated benefits and withholding garnishments
Update payroll systems related to new hires terminations status changes direct deposits tax changes rate changes and adjustments for weekly and biweekly payrolls
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations regarding payroll
Handle payroll inquiries and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner
Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure seamless payroll operations
Maintain payroll records and confidentiality of sensitive information
Requirements:
Must have at least years of experience running payroll
Must have at least 3 years of experience using Paylocity
Knowledge of NetSuite is preferred
Experience processing prevailing page payroll is a plus
Must be proficient with MS Offices (Word Excel Outlook etc.
