Working in a holistic environment in developing studentathletes the Assistant Coach will support the Head Coach to allow the program to meet its objectives. The Assistant Coach will assume the roles and duties as assigned by and under the supervision of the Head Coach to include duties relating to technical coaching support recruiting general administration and team management support. The incumbent will also be required to assist with alumni community events/activities and other fundraising initiatives. The Assistant Coach may also be responsible for the coordination and implementation of technical schemes and game strategies for assigned subunits within the team.

Under the direction of the Head Coach and applicable to the specific sub unit responsibilities assigned to the assistant coach the incumbent will be required to ensure an environment which is consistent with the values of the University of Ottawa and will foster the development of the studentathletes in the program toward conference and U SPORTS success and recognition. Primarily these duties are:
In keeping with the philosophy and objectives of The University of Ottawa and within U SPORTS OUA or RSEQ principles guidelines and regulations The Assistant Coach will assist with and at times oversee the coordination of assigned recruiting activities as follows.
Assist in the promotion of the U SPORTS Program to both the internal and external communities.

The rating is determined by a proficiency test designed by the Official Languages and Bilingualism Institute.
