Job Description
A prestigious law firm is seeking a Patent Agent with 2 years of experience in computer science or electrical engineering to join its Intellectual Property Patents Group. This role involves working closely with inventors and attorneys to prepare and prosecute patent applications for emerging technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with inventors and attorneys to prepare and prosecute patent applications.
- Conduct novelty and clearance searches to assess the patentability of inventions.
- Draft comprehensive patent applications with technical precision.
- Negotiate the scope of patent rights with the Patent Office.
- Assist in managing patent portfolios including preparing reports and documentation.
What Were Looking For:
- 2 years of patent prosecution experience in computer science or electrical engineering.
- Bachelors degree or higher in Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
- Technical experience in AI machine learning IoT semiconductors wireless communications or related fields is a plus.
- Strong technical writing and research skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail organizational skills and communication abilities.
