The Orenda Center of Wellness is excited to announce the expansion of our residential substance abuse treatment facilities clinical team.

Orenda provides the Medicaidpopulation ofMaryland with an array of treatment services ranging from intensive clinical care groups individual therapy sessions mental health evaluations / counseling psychiatric and medication management services along with fitness nutrition and life skills courses. We are seeking a FT group addictions counselor to work at our Womens Residencial Facility providing the highest standard of care to our current clients. This position will focus on group facilitation that covers the preset 3.3 level of care course curriculum along with caring a full case load of enrolled clients. Being comfortable working with a cross spectrum of substances abuse clients as well as being able to facilitate moderate to large groups will be required. Qualified candidates should be skilled at professional time management as well being able to make clinically appropriate decisions. Additional experience in deescalation and conflict resolution would be preferred.
Requirements:
- Certificate of completion in addiction counseling associate degree. bachelors degree. Masters degree
- Appropriate Maryland state licensing and/or credentials such asADT CSCAD CACAD LGADC LCADC. LGPC. LMSW
- Working knowledge of ASAM criteria and regulatory standards of care
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years experience working in the field of addiction treatment and/or mental health counseling as a licensed provider
- Experience facilitating therapeutic group and administering clinical assessments
- Experience with treatment planning clinical notations and EMR charting.
- Ability to pass local & federal background checks along with being able to clear a full panel drug screening
- Ability to handle crisis intervention with strong deescalation skills.
- Adaptability and motivation to improve clients lives are indispensable.
Position Offering:
- competitive starting salary Range$52000 to $70000annually
- Monday Friday 8:30a to 5p
- 1 weekend day required for this position
- Tuesday through Saturday4to6hour weekend day hours)
- Sunday through Thursday 4to6hour weekend day hours)
- Clinical supervision provided onsite at no additional cost.
