Job Description
Translation Services Data and Analytics seeks a passionate Data Engineer to drive innovations in translation analytics space to create the data pipelines handling large volume data and help our customers to analyze and understand Amazon Translation coverage across the support Translation Services in making datadriven decisions by providing easy access to data and selfserve analytics. We work closely with internal stakeholders and crossfunctional teams to solve business problems through data by building data pipelines develop automated reporting and dive deep into data to identify actionable root cause.
Key job responsibilities
Work closely with data scientists and business intelligence engineers to create robust data architectures and pipelines.
Develop and manage scalable automated and faulttolerant data solutions.
Simplify and enhance the accessibility clarity and usability of large or complex datasets through the development of advanced ETL BI dashboards and applications.
Take ownership of the design creation and upkeep of metrics reports analyses and dashboards to inform key business decisions.
Navigate ambiguous environments by evaluating various options using both datadriven insights and business expertise.
A day in the life
Data Engineers focus on managing customer requests maintaining operational excellence and enhancing core data analytics infrastructure. You will be collaborating closely with both technical and nontechnical teams to design and execute roadmaps for essential Translation Services metrics.

3 years of data engineering experience
Experience with data modeling warehousing and building ETL pipelines
Experience with SQL
Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language such as Python Java Scala or NodeJS
Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift S3 AWS Glue EMR Kinesis FireHose Lambda and IAM roles and permissions
Experience with nonrelational databases / data stores (object storage document or keyvalue stores graph databases columnfamily databases)
Bachelors degree
