AT&T Digital Engineering & Customer Experience team is looking for a Director of Engineering who is passionate about building top notch Digital web experiences for millions of our customers and has analytical and multitask abilities to thrive in a fastpaced environment. As a Director of Engineeringyou will be responsible for the engineering strategy planning design and development of various initiatives for AT&Ts consumer facing digital channels. You will manage and lead the software product development life cycle from inception to production launch and postproduction support.

You must possess a strong technical background to ensure you are designing modular & scalableweb components you must have experience leading large crossorganizational software development projects and have a wellrounded technical background in current web and microservice technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Drive innovation adapt to emerging technologies and implement industry best practices.
• Develop vision and roadmap and execute with coherent strategy including design user requirements market assessments and scalable delivery plan
• Engage customers partners and internal stakeholders to determine technical considerations and strategic objectives
• Craft and communicate engineering strategy across the organization and influence senior executives to acquire the necessary resources.
• Drive efforts to architect design develop and implement technologyenabled business and technical information solutions encompassing multiple specializations platforms and technologies
• Collaborate with PM Engineering and operations peers to deliver strategic and tactical plans and objectives
• Provide technical design and architectural leadership to multiple teams and projects to help ensure applications are integrated and adhere to stated architectural and design principles and standards while having the opportunity to remain in a handson engineering role.
• Lead the craftsmanship availability resilience scalability and performance of your solutions
• Enforce company policies in the areas of development methodology architecture security change and configuration management and compliance
• Direct a team of one or more IT organizations which targets 8 or more IT employee direct reports typically with Associate Directors and a total org size of 50 or more.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or related field.
• 10 years of experience in working in Engineering or Development roles.
• 10 years of progressive experience in building high volume ecommerce applications.
• 10 years of experience building web applications using Java Spring Boot Spring Next JS React JS and REST
• 10 years of experience in architecture and design of high traffic customer facing applications
• 10 years of retail and omnichannel experience
• 8 years of experience with leading and managing teams.
• Experience using Observability tools like Splunk/ELK Dynatrace Grafana Prometheus
• Prior experience with Digital transformations

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in thought leadership and creating high quality products
• Experience in leadership with the ability to work well across business units building relationships to deliver on joint objectives and key results
• Experience in building multichannel or multitenant aware ecommerce platforms
• Expert knowledge and experience working with asynchronous message processing stream processing and event driven computing.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum/Kanban development team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to present complex technical information in a clear manner to peers developers and senior leaders

Our DirectorTechnology earns between $191400.00$287200.00 USD Annual not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography experience expertise and education/training.
