Position Details:

Join the energetic and growing inpatient Cardiology Team at Hartford Hospital! We are looking for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to provide holistic and evidencebased care to our cardiology service line. Populations include myocardial infarction (NSTEMI/STEMI) arrhythmias and heart failure patients plus subspecialty populations. The successful candidate will support patients across the care continuum and work collaboratively with specialty teams.

Role: Open to Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners

Location: 85 Jefferson Street Hartford 06102

Setting: Inpatient cardiology

Schedule: Parttime nights. Willing to make the position fulltime for the right candidate if desired! Premium differentials offered.

Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioner Role Scope:

Under established guidelines and in collaboration and/or supervision with the practice physician(s) Advanced Practitioners perform routine physical examinations and formulate medical educational and psychosocial plans to treat patients.

In consultation with the physician(s) and care team members Advanced Practitioners develop plans for further evaluation of health needs e.g. referral to other health team members or specialists.

Advanced Practitioners provide appropriate treatment for problems within the scope of the providers practice as designated by protocols and identifies problems outside of their scope of practice and refers appropriately to physician.

  • Licensure: Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License (or eligible)
